Maemo: Home
This page contains some work of Luca Donaggio (donaggio@gmail.com) and me about
Maemo packages.
They are ports with small changes from the originals, compiled and packaged for using on the Nokia 770 hardware or other Maemo
compliant devices. They must be installed using the standard application installer.
Packages on the following table are for maemo version 2 (internet tablet 2006)
Download | Comments |
Grsync 0.5.2 | (updated) Rsync GUI ported to maemo, you can use it to synchronize directories. Needs the rsync package (get it at Maemo application catalog) |
joe 3.4 |
If you want to use hardware keys for main joe functions, modify the /var/lib/install/etc/joe/joerc and add some lines after ":main :inherit windows" like this:
abort ^[ 0
exsave ^[ 1
save ^[ 2
markb ^[ 3
markk ^[ 4
blkcpy ^[ 5
blkmove ^[ 6
nmark ^[ 7
blkdel ^[ 8
eof ^[ 9
for example this lets you do ESC (key-close) 1 (one) to save and exit. Be sure to put the lines after any other assignments for the same keys.
Click here to download my modified joerc (with the keys above and esc-left=home, esc-right=end, esc-up=pageup, esc-down=pagedown)
